Festive Preparations
It’s a hive of activity at greenery HQ - I’ve been busy sourcing and prepping materials for what is promising to be a busy few months making, and teaching other people how to make, festive wreaths.
As well as the key materials - willow grown on the Somerset levels to weave into hoops, sponge-like Sphagnum moss from a family firm in Northumberland, and lots of gorgeous foliage - i’ve been seeking out both traditional decorative items such as pine cones and dried fruits, and more unusual things like dried seedheads and flowers.
Ribbons are big deal too - this year I’m pleased to be offering jute bows in a variety of beautiful muted tones, vibrant sari-silks plus all the usual red gold and green we can’t get enough of at this time of year. I’ve taken a punt on it being a bit of a ‘blue Christmas’ and can’t wait to work with some new materials against the gorgeous winter foliage.
